The fall President’s Circle reception was held on the auspicious date of October 6, the feast day of Blessed Marie-Rose Durocher, the foundress of the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary. Members of the President’s Circle attended Mass in celebration of Blessed Marie-Rose Durocher in McLean Chapel, then gathered for a dinner and reception with HNU Interim President Jeanie Watson, PhD, in the Bay Vista room in Founders’ Hall. The President’s Circle is a giving society that recognizes donors who make an annual gift of $1,000 or more to HNU; members of the President’s Circle include alumni, faculty, staff, and friends of the University.
During the dinner and reception, Chair of the HNU Board of Trustees Barbara Hood ’70, MPA, introduced Interim President Jeanie Watson, PhD. Watson gave an overview of her life and career and spoke about how happy she has been to join the HNU community. “I consider it an honor and a privilege to be at Holy Names, sharing this wonderful University with you,” she said. She also spoke about recent University accomplishments and gave an update on the Ever Forward campaign.
At the close of her remarks, Watson expressed her gratitude to the members of the President’s Circle, and to all HNU donors, for their generous philanthropic support of the University.
