Sr. Rosemarie Nassif’s Presidency At HNU
Sister Rosemarie T. Nassif, SSND, PhD, has been President of Holy Names University since 1999 and during her tenure the university has experienced a return to stable financial footing, record enrollment increases, reaffirmation for accreditation by WASC for 10 years and completion of a successful $5.36 million science facilities renovation.
Prior to taking the HNU position, President Nassif was President of the Fund for Educational Excellence in Baltimore, MD, from 1997-1999. From 1992 to 1996 she was President of the College of Notre Dame of Maryland in Baltimore. She had been Executive Vice President of the College of Notre Dame from 1990-1992.
Her other professional experiences include: Co-Vicar for Religious, Archdiocese of St. Louis, MO, 1987-1990; Provincial Councilor, School Sisters of Notre Dame, St. Louis, 1983-1987; Associate Professor, St. Louis College of Pharmacy, 1977-1983; Associate Professor, Notre Dame College, St. Louis, 1970-1977; and Visiting Assistant Professor, University of Missouri, 1971-1973
