Tutoring Request Form

Advising & Learning Resources Center @ HNU provides all students access to free peer tutors. In order to get a tutor, you must first fill out this form. Please allow 1-2 business days for processing.

Peer tutoring is intended to supplement, not replace, class attendance and personal study time. Tutors help clarify points from lectures, labs, discussions or assigned readings. Tutors act as facilitators for student learning; they cannot write papers, help with take-home tests, or complete assignments for students. Restrictions regarding tutoring subjects, tutoring locations, dates and times may apply based on availability.

The Goals of Tutoring are:

Assist students in becoming active and independent learners
Expose students to effective study and exam preparation techniques
Assist students in reaching a higher level of competence in a particular subject
Aid in the development of a positive approach toward learning
