Research and/or Scholarly Activity
As a Sister of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary, I am intimately involved in the proceedings with regard to the education of all students. My dissertation in Political Science was entitled: Resistance Movements of Native Hawaiians. I continue to study Indigenous movements throughout the world but especially those of the Pacific Region. Another issue that is vital to a clear understanding of global politics is that of Gender, Difference and Narrative. I was part of a panel for the National Women's Study Conference and presented a paper entitled: Scheharazade's Sisters. As Faculty Advisor for the Global Outlook Club on campus, I arrange to lead a group of students every year for the Model United Nations team.
