Research and/or Scholarly Activity
Rabbi Shelley Waldenberg is a Senior Lecturer at HNU where he has taught courses in "Hebrew Scriptures" since 1995; both in the undergraduate program and the Pastoral Ministries MA program. He is Principal Teacher for the American Jewish Committee and Diocese's C-JEEP Program (Catholic-Jewish Educational Enrichment Program) that seeks to build bridges of understanding and trust between our faith communities at 14 Catholic high schools on both sides of the Bay.

 

Bio Information
After serving as a Chaplain in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, Rabbi Waldenberg taught at Hebrew University in Jerusalem. Thereafter, he served as Senior Rabbi at Temple Isaiah in Lafayette for 19 years. He has lectured at the University of San Francisco, Mills College, and U.C. Berkeley Extension. And he loves to paint portraits.
