High School Students

The Habitat for Humanity Club at HNU is back in action this semester. Due to high student demand they have put together a series of opportunities for students to volunteer this Spring. This club is a service based organization founded to provide student with social justice opportunities and raise awareness of the need for service.

HNU infuses academic learning with life lessons. For 140 years, Holy Names University has provided students like you with a great education that leads to fulfilling careers and lives. Whatever your chosen field, you will be challenged by our programs while working to achieve your professional aspirations.

The student body at HNU reflects the ethnically diverse Bay Area. In the classroom and in co-curricular activities, students of diverse nationalities and cultures learn what it means to be a citizen of the world. No one nationality or ethnic culture claims a majority at HNU. In fact, U.S. News and World Report has identified Holy Names as one of the most diverse colleges and universities in the country.

As a complement to classroom study, students incorporate internships, independent studies, and seminars into their programs. The HNU experience promotes self-reliance, creativity, and critical thinking. At HNU we expect the best from everyone and we dedicate ourselves to helping you succeed.

You will benefit from our 13:1 student/faculty ratio that allows for seminar-style classes and promotes close interaction with dedicated faculty.

Students are challenged and empowered to put their educational experiences into service-oriented action. Student Life and Campus Ministry sponsor programs that enable students to prepare meals for the elderly, visit AIDS patients, organize food drives, collect blankets for the homeless, or tutor those who need extra help with their studies.
