How do I Get Information on the Holy Names University Chapel?

A schedule of masses and services held in the Holy Names University Chapel can be accessed by visiting the Campus Ministry page of the HNU Website. The chapel is also available for alumni to reserve, free of charge, for personal events that are in conjunction with the sacredness of the space.

To Use the Chapel for a Personal Event
  • Obtain approval from Campus Ministry (To contact the Director of Campus Ministry, Carrie Rehak, please call 510.436.1081 or send an email to rehak@hnu.edu.)
  • Make a Formal Reservation with Campus Services (To contact the Director of Campus Services please call 510.436.1508 or send an email to campusservices@hnu.edu. Make sure to let them know you are a member of the Holy Names University Alumni Association to make your reservation with no charge.)

How do I Replace My Diploma?

Members of the Holy Names University Alumni Association can request a replacement diploma from the University’s Registrar’s Office. The charge for a replacement diploma is $30. All replacement diplomas have the current name of the school, President and Academic Vice President printed on them.

Requests for replacement diplomas should include the following information:

  • Student’s Name as it should be printed on the diploma
  • The mailing address where the diploma should be sent
  • The degree earned

And should be sent to the Registrar’s Office:

How do I Request Transcripts?

For the protection of your confidential records, transcripts must be requested in writing and are ready for mailing or pick-up with 7 - 10 business days after request is received in the Student Resource Center (SRC.) The fees for a transcript are as follows:

  • Official Transcript: $5.00
  • Unofficial transcript: $3.00
  • Unofficial transcript, faxed: $5.00

There are 3 ways to request your transcripts:

  1. Fax the Transcript Request Form to the SRC 510-436-1199.
  2. Mail the Transcript Request Form along with payment to the SRC

  3. In person - Fill out form in the SRC, Hester Administration Building Room 11.

How do I Tour Campus?

If you’re a parent or relative of a prospective student and would like to know more about the University, please arrange your tour through the Admission Offices by calling 510.436.1351. Come back and visit us! If you’re an alumnus/a who would like to come back and visit your alma mater, please contact the Alumni Relations Office by calling 510.436.1240 or send an email to alumni@hnu.edu.

How do I Reserve Campus Facilities?

All alumni receive a 10% discount off campus facility reservations.

Holy Names University offers unique facility rentals for your meeting, performance or event. Call campus services directly at 436.1508 or send them an email at campusservices@hnu.edu for rates, date and room availability.

Campus Services is charged with scheduling events in all of the campus facilities, including the Valley Center for the Performing Arts (VCPA) and the Soda Commons conference facilities.

Alumni may schedule an event in any of the available campus facilities by submitting a Facility Reservation Form to Campus Services. All Facility Reservation Forms must be submitted at least two weeks prior to an event.

How do I Use the HNU Library?

Alumni can visit the Paul J. Cushing Library on campus to access online resources and find a wealth of additional resources and services. Make sure to bring your alumni benefits card and a valid photo id with you when you visit the library. The library staff is ready to welcome you back to campus and happy to help with all your research needs. To speak with someone in the library please call 510.436.1332.
