Holy Names Finishes 17th at Nationals

Hawks Slide on Final Day

Olathe, KS - The Holy Names Men's Golf program wrapped up their second National Tournament appearance in 17th place out of the 28 team field, a slightly disappointing finish after last year's 7th place showing.  The Hawks were one of 17 teams to make the cut for the final round and sat in  11th place after three rounds.  A final round score of 311 dropped the Hawks to a +62 score of 1214 over the four day event. Charles Chae was the top Holy Names finisher with a 13-over 301.

Despite the late tournament slide, head coach Sigfried Wroebel and his assistant Alex Lara have put together an impressive run of late.  In addition to back to back appearances in the NAIA National Tournament, the Hawks have won three straight Cal Pac titles and have stayed in the NAIA Top 25 during that entire span.  Holy Names has won five conference titles overall and last season had their first NAIA All-American in Carlos Corona.
