| Sergio Segura - Men's and Women's Cross Country |
| Coach Segura enters his third year at the helm of the Cross Country program at Holy Names following a two year stint as an assistant under former coach Jim McKinnon. Segura is a 2002 graduate of Holy Names and a four time All-Cal Pac, All-Region II runner and a National qualifier during his collegiate cross country career. Segura, who will head up both the men's and women's programs, helped lead the Men's Cross Country team to 3 straight conference titles from 1997-1999 and then in 2001 including the school's only regional championship, which Cross Country won in 1997. | Graduate Student - Marriage and Family Therapy Masters Program at HNU. Parents are Jose & Maria Becerra. Chose HNU “because of the ‘family environment’ as well as the friendly staff.” Marcela enjoys doing anything that involves being outdoors; hiking, swimming, RUNNING, jumping off cliffs, camping etc. Enjoy dancing to all sorts of music. Loves reading biographical books. School: Fillmore High School Four year varsity runner. Helped lead the Lady Flashes for a Tri-Valley League Championships in ’99. Team Captain ’99-’02 for both Track & Field and Cross-Country. Most Improved Runner ’00. Tri-Valley League First Team Cross-Country ’01, ’02. CIF Div. IV Individual qualifier for Cross-Country. A personal best of 19:55 in a 5k, 12:20 in the 3200m, 5:24 in the 1600m and 2:36 in the 800m. School: Ventura College 2003-2004 Cross Country & Track and Field Helped Lead the Lady Pirates in a two year consecutive WSC Cross-Country championship ’02-’03. Named First Team Cross-Country ’02. Contributed in an overall 5th place team finish at the Community College California State Championships ’02. First Female Athlete to run the steeplechase in VC history ’03. SoCal finalist in both the 10k and the 3000m Steeplechase ’03-’04. Received the Tuck Mason Award for Track and Field ’03. Named Scholar Athlete for Track & Field ’04. Personal Best of 41:30 in the 10k, 19:30 in the 5k, 11:14 in the 3000m, 12:25 in the 3000m Steeplechase, 5:07 in the 1500 and 2:26 in the 800.
