January 26, 2007HNU Controls Jessup to Win 64-74, Avenging Previous 1 Point Loss
Oakland, CA - The Hawks (8-2 Cal Pac, 13-11 overall) were very motivated to give their best effort against Wm. Jessup (8-2 Cal Pac, 13-8 overall) in Tobin Gym on Thursday. Losing to the Warriors by one point will do that to a team that’s well matched in most areas. The Hawks showed they could control the game as they led by 7 at the half and pushed on to the win by taking the fouls when shooting and making free throws when they mattered most. HNU had a team shooting average of .490 (24/49), .700 from 3-pointland (7/10) and .826 (19/23) at the foul line.
Jessup Warrior Matt Kristoff put in a team-high 18 points and pulled in 4 rebounds, with Joseph Mitchell scoring 14 points and 5 rebounds. Lucas Bichard racked up a double-double with 14 points and a team-high 10 rebounds against HNU.

Josh Dozier just missed a double-double at 9 points and pulled down a game-high 12 rebounds, 11 of them defensive. Julius Cumlat contributed 7 points with 5 assists on the night.
