Blackboard

User Name Information:

Your user name will be your first and last name under which you are registered at the university. It is entered in all lower case letters with an underscore between your first and last name. In either your first or last name, do not include any special characters such as apostrophes or hyphens. Do not enter spaces anywhere in your username.

Username Example: matthew_miller
Password information: The first time that you log into blackboard, you will enter the word: password (all in lower case)

Personalizing your password:

After you access Blackboard, please click on the Personal Information button to the left of your screen and change your password to one of your own choosing.

Student Web mail Instructions:

Holy Names University faculty and staff use a student web mail to send import information and correspondence to all registered students. All students are required to access the university's student web mail service and retrieve emails from the University.

User Name Information:

Your user name will be the same username that you use to access Blackboard

Instructions for Accessing the Student Web Mail Service:

Go to any computer with internet access.
In the address line enter the following address webmail.hnu.edu
Click on the link: Student Web mail

Username:

At the username prompt enter your Blackboard username

Password:

At the password prompt, enter in lower case the initials of your first and last name and the last six numbers of your student id number:

For example: Password for Matthew Miller would be mm755033

Your Email Address:

Give out the following information for your e-mail address:

firstname_lastname@pucon.hnu.edu

For example: matthew_miller@pucon.hnu.edu
