Our 2007-2008 Theme is...

YOUR PLACE AT THE TABLE: OUR FOOD, OUR WORLD

Peer Support

Every freshman is part of a 10 student cohort with an upper-class student leader who serves as a peer mentor. Your peer mentor will provide support, advice, guidance, and insight on being a successful HNU Student.

Freshman Courses

You will enroll in an academic course, taught by a member of the HNU Faculty, limited to 20 freshman. Choices include: Communications 1, Word Religions, English 1A, History 1, ISAC 1, or Music 97.

Connections Project Lab

You will also enroll in a one unit course that consists of Workshops, Field Trips, and Community Service Projects on and off campus - hands-on activities designed to connect you to one another and the greater community.

Common Reading

All freshmen – and many other members of the HNU community – will read, The Omnivore's Dilemma, which is connected to
this year's Connections Project Theme.
