This class culminates the students clinical experience and is thus a time for the full application of the theoretical knowledge gained in the program. Students provide primary care to individuals and their families, emphasizing the cultural, ethnic and age-related aspects of their care. Preceptors provide support and direction as students assume full responsibility for the care provided. Students are expected to spend two days a week in clinical practice (NURS 253L) and must attend a four hour seminar (NURS 253) once a month during graduate weekends throughout the term in which the course occurs. Prerequisites: NURS 252.
