What advice would you give a prospective HNU student?
Ask questions! It is okay to not be sure about something and the best way you will know is by asking. Network, build positive and intentional relationships with people on campus. It will make your stay at HNU pleasant and provide a family type of feel.
What is your favorite thing about Oakland?
I love that everything is within backyard distance. The redwoods for hiking, Jack London Square for dining, and Lake Merritt for nice walks are all just minutes away… and in Oakland! Plus, one can find all types of ethnic foods/restaurants! Highly diverse!
What are your interests/hobbies?
Eating… I enjoy eating and tasting different kinds of foods. I especially enjoy sushi and going to the gym, shopping, reading and travel!
What is your favorite spot on campus?
The Public Market and Rosie’s Café. Anywhere I can find food and candy I find beautiful.
What do I like best about HNU students?
How friendly and welcoming they are to anybody who steps on campus. They take answers, questions, and concerns seriously along with everything else they have going on – whether personal, educational, and/or professional. They make HNU an awesome place!
