Mac Tip of the Week # 11: The Untold Secrets of the PowerPoint Presenter Tools, Part 2

Last week’s tip stepped you through using the helpful PowerPoint Presenter Tools. This tip will take it one step further and show you how to change some of the Presenter Tools display settings.To change the time displayed from the current time to the elapsed time:1) Play your presentation using the PowerPoint Presenter Tools (see last week’s tip on how to do this).2) Click the Time Settings Button button.  The elapsed time will now display in the top left corner:Elapsed Time Display and Corresponding Buttons3) To start the timer, click the Start Elapsed Time Button button.4) To stop the timer and reset the time click the Elapsed Time Reset Button button.5) To change the time display back to the current time, click the  Current Time Button button. The current time will once again be displayed.Other useful buttons:1) To view the Up Next window, click on the Up Next Button button. The Up Next window is a small preview window that displays the next slide to be displayed. The window can be dragged to your preferred location on the screen. Only you can see this window, not your students. To close it, click the close button on the window or click the Up Next Button button again.2) To view helpful shortcut tips that you can use to move through your slide show, click the Help Button button:Help Screen Listing Keyboard Shortcuts That You Can Use to Move Through the Side Show
