Much like the Control Panel in Windows, Systems Preferences is where you go on the Mac to control various settings such as dock behavior, printers, user accounts/passwords, desktop & appearance and much, much more! To access System Preferences on your Mac:1) Click on the to open the Apple Menu. (For more about the Apple Menu, see this tip).
2) Click on System Preferences.
3) The System Preferences Window will open.
