This Saturday, July 21, 1 p.m. – 2 p.m., join HNU English lecturer David E. Goldweber in the Cushing Library for an entertaining and informational talk on “The Joys and Hazards of Self-Publishing.” David will also be discussing his self-published film guidebook, Claws and Saucers: Science Fiction, Horror, And Fantasy Film, A Complete Guide 1902-1982. Learn why Goldweber decided to take the plunge, and how he covered 1600 films for his encyclopedic guidebook.

Signed copies for purchase (cash-only). Light refreshments served. Open to the public.

Back to the Future

In other library news, we continue with the Big Shift — a summer activity to relocate about 40% of our books from the main level to the lower level. When this activity has been completed we will be removing some of the main-level shelving added in the last couple of decades to open up more space for study and other activities.
