International Reception, Thursday, September 6, 12:30 – 1:30 p.m. All HNU students, faculty, and staff are invited to this annual event, co-hosted by the Student Success Center, International Student Services, and the Library. Enjoy refreshments and music from around the world, a slideshow, and an interactive networking game, Mingle Bingo.
Library Design Sessions: Friday, September 14, the Library is holding two once-in-a-lifetime library design sessions. Input from the entire Holy Names community is crucial. The morning session, 9 am – 10:45 am (RSVP here), features an architectural talk by library space planner Will Baty. The afternoon session, 2 – 3:30 pm (RSVP here), is your chance to weigh in on what YOU would like to see for HNU’s “library of the future.” Come share your thoughts! Autumn Art Talk and Exhibition, Tuesday, September 18, 7-8 pm: The HNU community and the general public are invited to a fascinating two-artist talk by HNU Dr. Ian Sammis and HNU Education credential student Carolyn Gaye. Dr. Sammis produces computer-generated graphics based on mathematical formulas, while Ms. Gaye paints scenes from nature. Their work is very different — and yet united by a love of color and design. Light refreshments served.
