crunchCircle Sing 4:30 – 5 pm Wednesday November 20 - join Ann Hege and others in a circle sing in front of the library, or be an appreciative audience! A video of the last Circle Sing is on HNU’s Facebook page.

Thanksgiving closure: the Cushing Library will close 5 pm Wednesday, November 27, and reopen 9 am Monday, December 2. When we reopen we’ll be revved up to support your study needs!

Finals hours: Need a place to study during crunch time? The Library is open until 10 pm Sunday through Thursday. Our full schedule is on our website, http://library.hnu.edu

Need help from a librarian? Librarians are on duty at the Library’s research help desk Monday through Thursday 3 pm – 8 pm, and 12-5 Saturdays. You can also call, text, chat, or email questions – see the Ask-a-Librarian button on the right side of our website, http://library.hnu.edu or text us directly at 510-746-8103 (response will be delayed when we aren’t on the desk)

Need super-duper-quiet study space? The Library’s lower level is an ultra-quiet zone at all times and has desks with good lighting, power outlets, and wifi. The Library’s main level has a “more quiet” and a “less quiet” zone.

Seeking a room for individual or group study? You can reserve one of the Library’s five study rooms through our library web page, http://library.hnu.edu

Extended holiday checkouts: Library books and DVDs you check out or renew on or after Monday, December 2 will not be due back until Monday, January 13. Check out some pleasure reading before you head home for the holidays! We’re adding new popular titles every week.

Check out books from the cloud! You can keep checking books out over the holidays through our phone-and-tablet-friendly Overdrive ebook collection, available 24/7 at http://hnu.lib.overdrive.com (or see the ebook link on our web page, http://library.hnu.edu).

The Library will offer limited weekday service over the 2013-2014 winter break. We will post those hours in December.
