Elizabeth Rosner, author of Blue Nude and The Speed of Light, and former HNU instructor, will discuss “Writing and Life.”She will then proceed to Dan Schmidt’s writing class, but you are welcome to stay for refreshments and mingling. Connections Project Conversation APPROVED!

Monday, November 18, 12:30 pm – 1:20 pm: Dr. Kitty Epstein and Dr. Sheila Gibson will lead a brownbag discussion about topics such as supporting undocumented students, the need for liberal arts, changing pedagogies, and online learning. Light refreshments & beverages served.

Evening Salon: Disability Awareness Panel
Monday, November 18, 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm: Panelists will share the long history of Disability Activism in the Bay Area and beyond, discuss current work in the field, and highlight HNU’s disability services. Participants include Belo Cipriani, Sarah Scott, Kimberly Mayfield, Polly Mayer, and Edith Ben Ari. Moderated by Sara Salazar.

Tuesday, November 19, 12:30 – 1:15 PM Have you finished composing your essays, but  really want to polish them?  Come to the Library classroom on November 19th from 12:30 to 1:15 to learn some great tips for editing and improving your essay drafts (and your grades) just in time for the end of the semester crunch. Workshop led by Belo Cipriani.
