Inauguration Program and Reception
A formal program in the Valley Center for the Performing Arts (VCPA) Regents’ Theater followed by a Celebratory Reception in VCPA lobby and Studio Theatre featuring a pictorial display of HNU history and civic engagement/moments in time.

Community Service Day
HNU faculty, staff, students and the Oakland community are invited to demonstrate HNU’s commitment to community service by taking part in a Lake Merritt clean-up in partnership with the Lake Merritt Institute.

Founded in 1868 by six French Canadian Sisters of the Holy Names, the University has grown to 1216 undergraduate and master level students.
