Board
Election and Constitutional Amendements Ballot
 |
In
Fall 2011, ISHS members were invited to vote for the next
ISHS President and two new Executive Board Members-at-Large.
In addition to the Board election, members voted on 14
amendments to the ISHS Constitution. The voting period
for this ballot ran from November 15 through December
16, 2011, and was conducted electronically through the
voting service, Ballot Box Online.
In
all, 56% of the ISHS membership cast valid ballots. Willibald
Ruch (University of Zurich) was elected as ISHS President
and Moira Marsh (Indiana University) and Graeme Ritchie
(University of Aberdeen) were elected as Board Members-at-Large.
The new ISHS President will serve from January 1, 2012
to December 31, 2013. The two new Board Members-at-Large
will serve from January 1, 2012 to December 31, 2015.
To
pass, all proposed amendments had to be approved by 2/3
of the members casting valid ballots. All amendments,
with the exception of the amendment to change the Executive
Secretary-Treasurer's Board voting status, received the
necessary 2/3 vote to be adopted.
