We are excited to announce the 17th annual Children’s Choral Festival on Saturday, May 4, 2013. This will take place at the Valley Center for the Performing Arts on the Holy Names University campus in Oakland. In addition to beautiful music, this promises to be an exciting and educational event for choristers and their family and friends.
This year’s festival is free and open to the public. We hope to see you there!

NCAKE is the Northern California Association of Kodály Educators and provides exciting professional development opportunities from September through June. NCAKE is a resource that contains articles on topics surrounding music education, workshop recaps and educator profiles.
Please join us in celebrating Benjamin Britten’s 100th birthday with a banquet and concerts! You will hear performances by faculty, students, and graduates of the HNU Music Department and Preparatory Music Department. We are also excited to hear a performance given by the Piedmont Children’s Choir in our culminating evening concert.
Under the direction of János Horváth, this is a small auditioned ensemble that rehearses and performs from September through May. Comprised primarily of students from Holy Names, this choir also includes faculty and alumni of the Kodály masters program and summer institute.
