Hungarian Music Festival – Save the Date: January 28, 2012

Holy Names University invites you to a Hungarian Music Festival in honor of the 200th anniversary of Franz Liszt’s birth.  The festival will feature a full day of Hungarian music, culture, food and dance. You may choose to attend:

ALL Afternoon concerts, banquet & evening concert $40 General Admission

$30 Seniors/Students/Alumni

1:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Afternoon concerts (4) $20 General Admission

$15 Seniors/Students/ Alumni

1:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Afternoon concert (1) $10 General Admission

$5 Seniors/Students/Alumni

Banquet only $18 Adult, $14 Child 6:15 p.m.
Evening concert only $10 General Admission,

7:30 p.m.

In addition to Liszt, the festival will feature Hungarian composers Bartók, Kodály, Ligeti, Bárdos and others.  Performers will include faculty, students and graduates of HNU’s Music Department and Preparatory Music Department in works for solo instrument, ensemble, voice and chorus.  The afternoon concerts will be followed by a banquet of authentic Hungarian food.
