Professor Anh Thai Nhan publishes research paper and speaks at Lawrence Berkeley Lab

Professor Anh Thai Nhan

Professor Anh Thai Nhan, PhD, mathematics faculty in the School of Business and Applied Social Sciences at Holy Names University, recently published a new research paper: “Analysis of the truncation error and barrier-function technique for a Bakhvalov-type mesh.” The paper outlines the first proof of its kind in research literature—applying the barrier-function technique to prove the parameter-uniform convergence for singularly perturbed convection-diffusion problems discretized on a Bakhvalov-type mesh.

Dr. Thai Nhan presented his research in two papers at the International Conference on Preconditioning Techniques for Scientific and Industrial Applications in July 2019 and at the Lawrence Berkeley National Lab in September 2019.
