Topics stretching across a psychological landscape that included School Bullying to Postpartum Depression were featured Monday night, November 19, at the 2007 Holy Names University Psychology Night.

Sister Maureen Hester, SNJM, PhD, retiring HNU professor, organized the event and welcomed students, staff and faculty.  Psychology students made their annual presentations, including oral and visual displays.  Sister Rosemarie Nassif, SSND, PhD, president of the university, was among those attending the event.

Fullwood-Davis, Three Issues That Face the Lesbian/Gay Community: Commitment, Children and Coming Out; Margarete Engel, Play Therapy, Historical Influences and Processes that Shaped its Development; Ashley Foster, Eating Disorders Among Men, Women and Athletes; Sharon Hall, School Bullying: Effective Prevention Methods; Karla Martinez, HIV Prevention in the Hispanic Community: The Effect of Machismo, Marianismo and the Lack of Education; Jose W. Sanchez, Social Anxiety Disorder Causes and Treatments; Kasandra Solorio, Body Dysmorphic Disorder Patients Seeking Cosmetic Surgery; Kaijah Thompson, The Evolutionary Effect of Physical Attractiveness on Human Mate Selection; Victoria Thompson, The History of the Misconception that Suggestibility is Primarily a Problem for Preschoolers; and Andrea Threets, Postpartum Depression Diagnosis and Treatment.
