President Franklin D. Roosevelt would not travel on the 13th day of any month and would never host 13 guests at a meal.

Napoleon and Herbert Hoover were also triskaidekaphobic, with an abnormal fear of NUMBER 13!!!

We have been having lightning, rain and slick roads. I passed two car wrecks on my way in this morning. Let’s all take a breath and slow down out there!!! Be especially careful on our outdoor staircases which will be slippery as well.

Everyone have a good Friday the 13th!!!

If you’re a storm survivor or if you know someone who is, the following are important safety tips to follow:

–Continue to monitor your battery-powered radio or television for emergency information.

–Use extreme caution when walking among debris, downed power lines and entering damaged buildings and be aware of exposed nails and broken glass.

–Avoid carbon monoxide hazards and never use generators or other gasoline devices inside your home, basement, garage or camper.

–Be aware of possible structural, electrical or gas-leak hazards in your home, and in general, if you suspect any damage to your home, shut off electrical power, natural gas and propane tanks to avoid fire, electrocution or explosions.
