Are you feeling stressed, frazzled or out of sorts?

Come to the Weekly Oasis for a time to breathe and be . . . .

Join Sheila Thomas on Tuesdays, at 12:30PM, for meditation, prayer, contemplation and reflection.   Each week there will be an opportunity to engage in spiritual practices to support you during the week.  Students, staff, and faculty are all welcome.

Sheila Thomas, a third-year Pacific School of Religion M.Div. student and Sophia Center intern, is a licensed Practitioner at the Heart and Soul Center of Light in Oakland, CA, a church that is affiliated with the Centers for Spiritual Living (formerly known as the United Church of Religious Science) in Golden, Colorado.   The Centers for Spiritual Living teachings are based on Science of Mind, a book written by its founder Ernest Holmes who was greatly influenced by the teachings of Jesus.  In order to obtain her Practitioner’s license, Ms. Thomas was required to take Science of Mind courses including two years of Practitioner Studies.  As a Practitioner, Ms. Thomas provides spiritual counseling and direction and has taught classes on Financial Freedom, Visioning and Practitioner Studies.  She is currently a second year student in the Master of Divinity program at the Pacific School of Religion.  Ms. Thomas is also an attorney, with her own plaintiffs’ employment practice in Oakland, California.
