Have you ever wanted to set off on a quest, either to sneak away from the normal routine or perhaps to have some self-reflection time? Holy Names University offers this opportunity to undergraduate students through the annual Quest Retreat at Los Gatos, sponsored by the Holy Names Sisters. Every year, undergraduate students are invited to embark on this retreat in which they are exposed to a spiritual and religious atmosphere. This three-day long retreat is filled with community building activities with the group as well as the Sisters and leaders of the retreat. In addition to the community bonding, the retreat provides students with the opportunity to deeply evaluate themselves through the stories of others.

“It is a great experience because you get time to yourself. Time to remember who you are in this world, where you came from, and where you are going. Time to wind down go to a place where time becomes irrelevant like the issues of your life. Time to create bonds with strangers and share a bit who you are, and learn about others. Time to enjoy the moment and see time as gift, and not something to live by.”

-Edrian Luna

“I had a great time on the Quest Retreat. I gained a closer connection with people I knew and established a new bond with people I had not met before. I also was allowed a chance to become closer with myself spiritually. It was nice to be taken to a different environment and just have time to reflect on our core beings and what is essential in our lives. I would suggest it for everyone to try at least once in their lifetime if not more.”

“The retreat was wonderful. I truly enjoyed myself. It felt like a family connection while in the house. I’ve been on several retreats, so some things were similar. I think this had to be one of the best. I’d definitely recommend it.”
