Your roommate told you she was attending an ASHNU meeting in the SSC. You overheard someone in your ISAC class asking about SRC hours. A professor recommended you regularly check your Live account and you heard from your RA about an FYE event in the Hawk's Nest.

Are you prepared for success? Are you ready to
start the school year right?

HNU's extraordinary faculty play a large part in your academic success. Actively paying attention in class, developing good study habits, and asking questions are all essential to your success inside and outside of the classroom.

Getting to know your professors is important, so don't be bashful. Below are resources you can use to become more comfortable with your academic transition to HNU. Check them out. They may seem simple, but you will find them very helpful.

Information for Parents and Family Members

Orientation is a chance for students to learn more about HNU, meet new classmates, and make new friends. For parents and family members, it's a golden opportunity to meet other HNU family members, scout out textbook and apparel options at HNU’s bookstore, and visit nearby coffeehouses, shopping centers and museums.

During orientation, we offer programs for parents and family members that are designed to provide ways family members can help students succeed in college. Included are opportunities for formal goodbyes and well wishes as students continue their college experience. Please check the schedule for details.

Regardless of whether students live on or off campus, attending the orientation program shows your support for your student's experience at HNU.
