HNU’s Teacher Apprenticeship Program (TAP)
About the program
TAP (Teacher Apprenticeship Program) is a federally funded program by the U.S. Department of Education–Office of Improvement and Innovation’s Transition to Teaching Competitive Program which seeks to recruit recent college graduates and mid-career professionals for the teaching profession.
Holy Names University was awarded this multi-million dollar grant in 2011. Our proposal was selected as a model proposal in the nation. Through this grant HNU is able to offer students an alternative path for teacher certification.
Check out our FAQ page, learn more about the benefits of TAP, and see how to apply.
