About the program

TAP (Teacher Apprenticeship Program) is a federally funded program by the U.S. Department of Education–Office of Improvement and Innovationís Transition to Teaching Competitive Program which seeks to recruit recent college graduates and mid-career professionals for the teaching profession. Holy Names University was awarded this multi-million dollar grant in 2011. Our proposal was selected as a model proposal in the nation. Through this grant HNU is able to offer students an alternative path for teacher certification.
