Nurse Educators generally work in an intellectually stimulating environment. They help shape the future of the nursing profession and practice. They serve as faculty members in nursing schools and develop staff in hospitals and community-based organizations, and share their knowledge and skills with novice nurses.
Nurses completing this program will learn to:
- create and implement nursing curricula
- teach in an academic or professional setting
- develop evaluations and tests
Classes are held on a monthly weekend-intensive schedule.
After completion of 42 units (18 units core courses and 24 units nurse education specialty courses), the graduate receiveds a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree as an nurse educator.
