Carl L. Brodt received his B.S. from Santa Clara University in 1973, and earned his M.I.S. and M.B.A. from Claremont Graduate University in 1976 and 1977, respectively. He is a member of the Institute of Management of Accountants and became a Certified Management Accountant in 1985.
Over the course of his 34-year career with MUFG Union Bank, Mr. Brodt managed a wide range of accounting, finance, risk management, and administrative functions. He has also taught graduate and undergraduate business classes at the University of La Verne, served as Assistant Dean of Students at Harvey Mudd University, and managed financial planning functions at the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco and at a division of Black and Decker, Inc. He currently assists Prescio Consulting on credit risk modeling projects.
On “the side,” Mr. Brodt serves on his denomination’s Northern California synodical board and on the congregational council of his local parish, helps out at a local non-profit dance studio which he helped found, and enjoys New Testament studies as well as researching and writing about K-12 education.
